A closer look at where and how our products are made.
Almost all of our clothing and accessories are made in China. For a small brand like ours, it's where we found the partners who could actually bring our ideas to life: skilled, responsive people with real product engineers, real machines and real know-how.
We could have just written "Made in China" on every product page and moved on. But that only tells you the country. On its own it doesn't say anything about working conditions, about quality, or about the people involved. To really form an opinion you have to look at where things are made, how, and what customers think of the result. That's what this page is for.
The people
Factories are people
It's easy to forget that behind every product there are people, and highly skilled ones: people who know the machines, the materials and the small details better than anyone. To make good products, you need the best people in each of those crafts.
We have worked with most of our factories for four or five years now. We have visited their workshops, we know the people inside, and we talk with them almost every day, because developing a product is something you build over time.

Small runs
Small brand, complicated products
We produce in small runs: hundreds of pieces, sometimes a few thousand, rarely more. Most companies around us order tens or hundreds of thousands of pieces per product. So finding partners with the right technical machines, the right materials and the patience for our complicated ideas is genuinely rare.
We're proud we found them. We take care of those relationships, and they take care of our products.
The clusters
Cities built around a craft
One thing that amazed us on our first trips: in China, whole cities and regions are organized around one type of product. Necklaces, bags, t-shirts, knitwear, each has its own ecosystem. In a single city you'll find the people who know how to make it, the machines, the people who repair the machines and the fabrics, all in one place.
Everything there is set up to help you make things. It changes what's possible for a small brand like ours.
The right people
People who want to build with you
When you find the right people, they genuinely want to bring your project to life. That's not something to take for granted: we tried making things in France several times, and maybe we were just unlucky, but we spent more energy convincing people than building. In China, things clicked.
We're not closed to working anywhere else. It just has to click.
Honestly
We're still learning
We're not here to lecture anyone. We learn by doing, every day. This is simply the best way we've found to bring our ideas to life while feeling comfortable with how they're made. It's not perfect and we won't pretend it is: we do our best with what we know today. If the way we work evolves, we'll explain that here too. We're always up for a conversation.
In parallel
In parallel: France and Portugal
We also make some things closer to home. All our prints are printed in France for now, and our t-shirt range is being developed in Portugal, maybe sweaters next. There's no ranking between countries in any of this: we're just exploring several places at once, to keep learning how everything gets made.
What our customers think
After all these explanations, it's also worth hearing from people who actually ordered, paid and received our products.
